We had another wonderful CHNA Garden Tour on Sunday, May 4, 2025. This annual event has become a cherished tradition in our community, and this year was no exception. We welcomed approximately 250 neighbors, friends, and community members who came together to enjoy the splendor of our beautifully curated gardens.

Thank you to all of the garden hosts who shared their beautiful gardens with us this year. Huge thank you to them for sharing their favorite features of their gardens.

The weather was perfect for such an occasion, with clear skies and a gentle breeze that added to the overall ambiance of the day. As participants strolled through the various gardens, they were treated to a diverse array of floral displays, each showcasing the unique creativity and dedication of the gardeners involved. Many of the gardens featured vibrant blooms, meticulously arranged landscaping, and even some edible plants, highlighting the importance of sustainability and local food sources. Throughout the tour, attendees had the opportunity to engage with the gardeners themselves, who were eager to share their knowledge and passion for horticulture. This interaction fostered a sense of community spirit, allowing neighbors to connect over shared interests in gardening and environmental stewardship. In addition to the stunning gardens, we also organized a series of workshops and demonstrations that took place throughout the day. These included sessions on organic gardening practices, composting techniques, and tips for attracting pollinators to our gardens. Participants left not only inspired by the beauty surrounding them but also equipped with valuable information to enhance their own gardening endeavors. The event also featured local artisans and vendors who showcased their handmade crafts and organic products, further enriching the experience for all who attended. As the day came to a close, it was clear that the CHNA Garden Tour was more than just a visual feast; it was a celebration of community, nature, and the shared joy of gardening.

Our Garden Tour wouldn't be possible without the support of SMUD and Councilmember Eric Guerra's office. We thank them for their cintued sponsorship of our community.

Thank you to the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association Garden Tour Committee for volunteering to organize such an enjoyable event for our community.

We look forward to next year's tour, where we hope to welcome even more participants to share in the beauty and camaraderie that our gardens inspire.
