Potluck in the Park 2026

On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association organized a delightful and engaging special event that brought the community together: Potluck in the Park!
Over 175 neighbors came out and brought their favorite dish to share with our community and enjoyed a slice from Luigi's Pizza Parlor. We gathered under the shady trees at the park to enjoy live music from one of our favorite neighborhood bands.
Our annual raffle had over $2,000 in donated raffle items from local vendors with over $550 raffle tickets sold. Proceeds from the raffle support CHNA’s programming throughout the coming year.
New this year, we hosted a school supply drive. Neighbors donated backpacks, paper, notebooks, binders, pens, glue, scissors, and other items. These items will help support our local schools who have children in need of these supplies.
To close out our night, the new community sign board was unveiled. This sign board was designed to honor and remember Greg Ruszovan, who passed away earlier this year. Greg was deeply engaged in the neighborhood for over 30 years. His commitment to Colonial Heights was unparalleled and significantly influenced the programs that the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association still maintains today. Keep an eye out for the new sign board, which will be placed at the corner of 54th St and 19th Ave in the near future.
