On Saturday, October 4, 2025 the Colonial Heights Neighborhood Association held our annual Colonial Parkfest. Colonial Parkfest is a free one-day music event in Sacramento's Colonial Heights neighborhood. This event celebrates community, inclusivity, fun, & music! This year we had 7 amazing local bands, food trucks, vendors, and artists. Neighbors brought a blanket or a lawnchair and enjoyed the music all afternoon.

Band Lineup:
1PM: THE ELI CONLEY QUARTET (@eliconleymusic)
2PM: GET THE WALL (@get_the_wall)
3PM: CITIZEN SNIPS (@citizensnips_band)
4PM: THE PRETTY BOYS (@the.pretty.boys.band)
5PM: NIGHT DADDY (@papi_noche_band)
6PM: BE BRAVE, BOLD ROBOT (@bebraveboldrobot)
7PM: THE SUGAR PUSHERS (@thesugarpushers)
All of our bands were truly wonderful, each bringing their unique flair and energy to the stage. Most of them had deep ties to the neighborhood, often having grown up in the very streets that resonate with their music, which adds an authentic touch to their performances. This local connection fosters a sense of community and pride, as attendees often recognize familiar faces and places referenced in the lyrics and melodies.
The diversity of music styles showcased at our event is one of the highlights, as it ranges from the raw, energetic vibes of punk rock to the soothing sounds of melodic string instruments. The local Sacramento scene thrives on this diversity, with bands often sharing members or collaborating on projects, which fosters a rich musical tapestry that reflects the city's vibrant culture. Each performance is a celebration of local talent, creativity, and the unique stories that each band brings, making every event a memorable experience for all who attend.
Our annual headliner, The Sugar Pushers, were a delightfully spooky way to end the night. The Sugar Pushers surface when Autumn leaves begin to fall each year! In search of an allusive foal, they hold a few performances at the end of October, in the hopes that the horse will turn up and they can ride the phantom back to the neverworld. Will this be the year they find the ghostly Steed? Probably not...
The day went off without a hitch thanks to the amazing sounds provided by our neighbor Danny! We couldn't have done it without him!
